The Frontier
Recently we spent about 10 days in the Northwest US. Montana, Washington and Oregon to be exact. It was a great trip for many reasons, and I’m trying to remember them all.
1) I swear this must be the most beautiful area in the United States. I’ve been everywhere except Alaska in the US, and I always love the northwest. Wide open, green, mountains, rivers, lakes and on and on… Living in LA makes you forget that there are places that don’t have a billion people everywhere.
2) Most everyone went white water rafting in Montana on our day off. I didn’t unfortunately, because I needed to clean up some programming for our show. However, the lodge we stayed at was perfect, and the river was right across the street, so I spent quite a few “breaks” enjoying it.

3) At the end of the day before leaving for the next city, all the guys brought their instruments down by the river and had a campfire jam. It was awesome. I’m not sure anyone was ready to leave.
4) Sitting up front with our driver. I spent quite a lot of time up with our driver, Powder, just listening to music, watching the view and writing. Your thoughts are a lot different at these times, versus sitting up there rolling through cities. Everything about it was great, and Powder let’s me do my thing without interrupting my thoughts.
5) I got to see some friends. It’s always a pleasure to see people you know while traveling like we do. The time is always short, but I wouldn’t change it. Good friends are good friends, no matter how long you may have together.
6) Fan club peeps. Wow, this camp has some great people in their fan club. People travel all over to hang with us, and it’s a pleasure. It makes you not miss home nearly as much. Thanks everyone!!
7) Bend, OR. I fell in love with this place. The weather was just about perfect there. The people are incredible, and I had a blast. We had a day off here as well and I met a few special people that I hope to know forever. I cannot wait to go back!
